Dongzhi Festival

Today is Dongzhi or Winter Solstice, which is still an important cultural holiday these days.

Dongzhi means the arrival of winter.  The farmers would lay down their tools and celebrate the harvest by coming home to their families.  A feast would be prepared to mark this occasion.  It is the day when families get together.  In the southern parts of China it is a tradition to eat tangyuans, and in northern China, people typically eat dumplings.

Thanksgiving Day

On this Thanksgiving day I hope you enjoy being with your families and friends, and realize how precious it is to spend time together in view of the mishaps and tragedies happened around the world lately.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the dads in the world.  Did you know that today is also Chinese Dragon Boat Festival?  Have you had any zong zi yet?

Music is the Universal Language

In Locke when Anthony and Lin were preparing for their duet, this good looking boy, whom we never met before, joined in with them.  Later all 3 of them got invited to perform on stage.  How cool was that!!!
